Hello,

My name is Ken Parker and I would like to welcome you to the Mill Creek Athletic Association.

I’d like to tell you a little about myself and my family. I have been married for 15 years to my wife, Sonya.  I am an attorney and for 14 years, I worked for my Father in his Law Firm. When he passed away about two years ago, I put out my own shingle.  I am a member of the Harmony Elementary School Council and Sonya serves on the Harmony PTA.  Sonya and I have 2 children who are heavily involved at MCAA.  Sarah (11) enjoys softball and basketball while Jack (8) plays baseball, basketball and football.  I have been fortunate enough to be able to coach both of our children in softball and baseball through MCAA and Sonya is always there helping out as Team Mom.

For several years I have served on the MCAA Baseball Board enjoying the fellowship of other dedicated volunteers that help make our association one of the best in the State of Georgia.  The opportunity to help ensure that our children have a place to thrive though competition is one of the reasons I decided to run as the MCAA President.  Since I have been a volunteer at MCAA, I have met some great friends and have come to appreciate all the time and dedication our volunteers put forth into helping make MCAA a great Program. I believe our association is only as good as our volunteers and our volunteers are GREAT.

We offer Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Football, Lacrosse and Softball through the MCAA programs and each sports board is filled with dedicated individuals who truly care for our children and our Association.

At MCAA, we put our children first in all that we do. We all enjoy watching our children excel in their endeavors and I encourage you to cheer on your child and your teams at every opportunity.  The safety and well being of our children is always foremost in our minds. If you happen to witness anything that is contrary to the well being of our children, I encourage you to contact me or another Board Member so that any issues can be resolved in a calm and dignified manner. After all, whatever we do, there are always children watching and learning from us all.

I look forward to serving the MCAA community and wish you all a great sports year.

Thank you,
Ken Parker
President, MCAA
